La Cantina Pizzolato has been an organic estate since 1991. Winemaker Settimo Pizzolato is the latest of five generations of Pizzolati who have made wine in this scenic part of north eastern Italy. Regional Information
The estate benefits from the Veneto region's plentiful rainfall (average of 1200-1400mm annually) and a continental climate with cold winters and warm, humid summers. The vines are planted on pebbly soil which allows good drainage. The vineyard is farmed organically and grapes are hand harvested and carefully selected.

Vinification Details
The grapes are selected and harvested by hand. The wine undergoes traditional white vinification (without the addition of sulphur anhydride) at a controlled temperature of 14C in stainless steel. Secondary fermentation also takes place in stainless steel before the wine is filtered and bottled.
